The Make Up I am Loving Right Now

Hi Guy I know I have been MIA lately and I am sorry.

But I am getting back into my blog and will not be neglecting it any longer. So today I will be taking about the make up I am loving right now.

The first product I am loving is the Sonya Mineral Make Up this has become a staple in my daily routine and I just couldn't live without it. Available in 4 colours and adaptable to skin tone, this make up really does suit all. Really easy to apply and a very light feeling on the skin - I can't even tell I'm wearing foundation at all. And because it is aloe based, it keeps the skin fresh and healthy.

(Left Pic - me wearing the mineral foundation. Right pic - Me not wearing any foundation)

As you can see in the pictures of me my skin looks a lot smoother when I am wearing the mineral foundation. And my skin looks more even when wearing it. I love the fact that this is a very light foundation but it has full coverage. I use the shade Light.

It comes in the shades:
Light
Natural
Amber
Caramel

The next make up product I am loving at the moment is the Flawless Volumizing Mascara.
This mascara creates volume for glamorous, dramatic lashes. It coats each lash with a velvety finish to it. With this mascara containing Aloe Vera it leaves the lashes looking healthy and beautiful.

Comparison of wearing the volumizing mascara on my right eye and non on my left eye.

These two products have become staple pieces for the last couple of months. And both products last a while as well, I first got the mineral foundation in may and have only just brought another one as I am starting to run out of it and the Flawless Volumizing Mascara has lasted 5 months and does not show any signs of running out any time soon.

If you want any more information about these two products then you can contact me on:

Life update: September/October 2014

Hi Guys!

Sorry I have been lacking with the blog posts as of lately, this is because as some of you may already know I have moved to University at the end of September! I am now living in London, scary I know especially when Nottingham is probably half the size of London!
Anyway since the 26th of September (the day I moved into my flat in the accommodation for my uni) I have been settling in. It has taken me just under a month to fully settle in but I think I'm there lol!

WARNING: THIS WILL BE A VERY PICTURE HEAVY POST! Apologies!

So the first two picture of this post was the week before I left and everything got brought down from my room and took over the living room! While packing my case my dog realised something was going off and then decided he wasn't going to let me finish packing! Honestly at one point I thought he was going to snuggle up in my case but no he just laid on my clothes to stop me putting them in my case.

As you can see when I said I had taken over the living room I meant it! The living room was like this for at least 5 days and we couldn't use the table! sorry mum and dad!

Meeting People:

At first I was so scared about making friends but honestly I don't know why because on the first night I moved in I got invited to the pub and I was glad I went because I met a girl on my course and we just clicked instantly. As you can see in the pic below we (well I was shhhhh....) were slightly drunk before going out to the circus ball.

Freshers Week:

Freshers week what can I say...... there was arguments, people getting drunk (I am guilty of this), people being sick (again I am a guilty culprit) and hangovers. So basically the typical week people expect. However me, Cerys and some other girls ended up getting lost after the Disney party and got the bus in the wrong direction......safe to say we ended up getting a taxi home!

These pictures were from the last night of freshers and because I was drunk I wanted big hair but I tell you it took be THREE FUCKING DAYS to get my hair back to normal!!!

First week of Lectures:

What can I say I decided to pick one of the hardest courses going....veterinary nursing. But honestly I love it! It what I have wanted to do for a long time. But even though I'm not in 5 days a week I have online lessons to do for the course.

Anniversary with Adam:

Now last weekend me and my boyfriend celebrated our 2 year anniversary. He surprised me and booked a table at the Aqua Shard.....YES HE BOOKED DINNER IN THE SHARD!!!! The food was amazing and the service was incredible. If you have got the money I would defiantly recommend going. Also as well as paying for dinner he brought me this gorgeous ring from Pandora, the one I had been eyeing up for a while but every time I couldn't afford to spend £40 on a ring. So I am one very lucky girl as I have been told by a couple of the people that also study veterinary nursing.

So yeah that's what I have been up to over the past month as well as binge watching One Tree Hill on Amazon Instant. I am hoping to not neglect my blog again like I have this past month. I will try and post more frequently but I need to work out what posts I am doing and also when I am posting because of how much work I have to do.

Boots haul

Hi Guys!

So Saturday I went into boots as I need to start taking care of my skin a lot better.
Sorry about the quality of the picture! The lighting where I live today has been poop so I had to use my flash *boo* Also please ignore the curtains I never got round to changing them and don't see the point changing them when I got to UNI in two weeks lol!

As you can see in the picture this wasn't a very big haul!

The first thing I picked up was the Nivea pure and natural cleansing toner, now I own a bottle of micellar cleanisng water but I needed a toner as well and I like Nivea products so I wanted to try this one.

My next product was also one from Nivea, this time I got the oil free moisturising day cream, I picked this one up as I have combination skin and I normally miss out moisturising my face after cleansing it, the do a night cream as well so if I get on well with the day cream I will defiantly be investing in the night cream.

Now as winter is starting to creep in, it takes a toll on my hands as they go ever so dry, I know how well Vaseline works on my chapped lips in the winter so I decided to pick up this hand cream and to be honest I was drawn to this by the pink packaging but this smells divine.

Now the original reason why I went into Boots was to get the one and only tangle teezer. Ever since I have started dying my hair it has started to become extremely knotted and tangled after washing so I made a point to purchasing this little beauty after hearing so many good things about it.

The next thing I brought was the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash. Maybe I was drawn to this because it was pink....ok I put my hands up I did but it smells divine and I have heard good reviews about this so I did actually wanted to try this out.

The last thing I got was the Neutrogena Visibly Clear blackhead eliminating daily scrub. Now I have terrible problems with blackheads so hopefully this will help.

Once I have used these products I will be doing reviews on all of them so keep an eye out for them!

Prices:
Nivea Pure and Natural Cleansing Toner: £3.36
Nivea Oil Free Moisturising Day Cream: £3.99
Vaseline Healthy Hands and Stronger Nails: I think this was about £3
Tangle Teezer: £10.99
Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash and Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub: All Neutrogena products were on 2 for £5.

 Until Next Time!!

Day out in Buxton

Hi guys

So sunday me and my boyfriend went to Buxton as we had tickets to Buxton raceway to see the car races but as that didn't start till 1pm so we decided to go to Poole's cavern!

Poole's cavern has history behind it, dating back to I think the roman ages maybe ever before that. It was a good tour to say it was only an hour long.
The water over time had cut the rocks out!

Unfortunately you can't see the true beauty in this picture! This is a large amount of calcite that is found in the cave! When stood next to it, it sparkled so much it was amazing!

After we went to the cavern we took up to soloman's temple, which happened to be up a hill but once we got to the top the hills was phenomenal.

Once we had been there we went to Buxton race track which was just amazing!

There's just something about the smell of fuel and rubber burning on the track, the sound of the cars wizzing round the track  sounding like a swarm of angry bees and the rubber hitting your face!

So overall the day was amazing and it was nice to get away from nottingham for the day and just chill with my boyfriend and not have to do anything but have fun!

Until next time!

Mua haul and review

Hi Guys

Today I bring you a MUA haul and review!
At the beginning of August I went into superdrug and brought the MUA Matte Perfect Foundation and the Matte Perfect Loose Powder. The foundation claims to last all day and has shine control for about 8 hours. After using it for a couple of days I noticed that it didn't cover any of my blemishes and as I have spot prone skin I needed something that was light and gave me some sort of coverage. So this then encouraged me to go back to superdrug the day before I went to wales and I brought the MUA Pro-Base Primer and Hide and Conceal. I tried these all of these product out together on holiday and I can honestly say I LOVE these products.

I got the foundation in the shade Fair which is the lightest shade that they do in this product, But I found that if I don't blend it in properly I will get slightly orange lines around my face, which normally happened around mt ears so at least when my hair is down it can be hidden. I also got the concealer in fair as well but even though it says it is the same shade as the foundation it is lighter than it. The Loose Powder is translucent but when applying this with a brush there is a lot of product fall out so I have got it on my clothes at times but it does brush off.
The primer is just amazing and without this I found that the foundation doesn't last all day. But the primer helps dramatically. However if the weather is really warm and you are wearing this foundation then I would recommend taking the loose powder with you as in really warm weather you do get some shine on your face.

Other than this I LOVE these products and would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a light foundation.

Foundation: £2
Loose Powder: £2.50
Primer: £4
Concealer: £1

August Favourites

Hey Guys

Today I bring you my first favourites post!

In my favourites this month is:

Micellar Cleansing Water; this stuff is just amazing! I only got it in the middle of august abut honestly I don't think I can go back to using my face wipes to take off my make up. I have no idea how this magic bottle of water works but honestly I do not mind due to the fact that it really works.

MUA Matte Perfect Foundation and Loose Powder; I was looking for a light coverage foundation as I currently use No7  that I only wear on a night out as it is a full coverage foundation but I cannot afford this every month as it is £15 a bottle however the MUA matte perfect foundation is perfect as it provides the light coverage I wanted and it only cost me £2, and the loose powder is so cute and cost me £2.50. I will be doing a full review of these on my blog soon.

MUA Pro-base Primer; I have combination skin and I have found that if I do not use a primer with the MUA foundation, half way through the day it slides off my face but with the primer my makeup lasts all day. This only cost me £4.

Barry M Nail varnish: I currently own 5 shades of nail varnish in the gelly hi-shine range, I love the colours but some of them I haven't got round to trying two of the colours. Again I will be posting a full review on them on my blog.

Minnie Mouse Make Up Bag; This I only got when I went into the town the other week with my best friend. I was looking for a makeup bag as my original one was getting too small. As soon as I saw this bag I was in love with it and had to get it! It cost £3/4 from primark.
